Nissan Makes Great Leaps in Annual Green Business Report
Now, more than ever, there is a great focus on environmentalism and our individual impacts on the Earth in which we live. And, not only are people joining the cause by recycling more, reusing grocery bags and water bottles and more, but companies are actually making pushes to be more eco-friendly in their every day practices.
A prime example of an industry in which the new green mantra is prevalent, is auto making. As one very important step, automakers are designing and producing more fuel-efficient vehicles with lower emissions production like hybrids, EVs etc.
And while most automakers are doing their parts in this way, some are taking it even further and extending their eco-friendly behavior to all facets of their business.
Take, for instance, Japanese automaker Nissan who, by and large has implemented more green production strategies like a newer, more efficient painting process and solar-powered factory machinery. Additionally, in Nissan's home country, it is far ahead of its recycling and reuse goals for its end-of-life vehicles based on both individual, and nation-wide mandates.
With all Nissan is doing for the green initiative it makes sense that its contributions would be recognized and Jackie Cooper Nissan is pleased to announce they recently have been.
More specifically, Nissan was voted the fifth overall brand out of 50 considered, on branding consulting firm, Interbrand's annual Best Global Green Brands report. What's more, the automaker was also deemed this year's "top riser" due to the fact that it moved up an impressive 16 spots from its place on the list, last year.
