Nissan Friend-ME Concept Aims to Connect Young Drivers
Staying connected is the one thing many of us desire. We have our smartphones and tablets, which you can sync up with vehicles in the new Nissan lineup to be entertained on the go. In order to appeal to one of the fastest-growing customer segments in the world, Nissan is working to make the entertainment experience in the car more social.
At the Shanghai Motor Show, the automaker introduced the Friend-ME concept. It's dashing, shapely, and sporty on the outside. It's geared toward young drivers in China, where there are plenty of people, and many first-time car buyers. While the stunning looks of the Friend-ME go a long way, it's what is inside that is sure to amaze.
The center console extends between the driver and passenger seats continuing to the rear seats. It acts as a social and entertainment hub for everyone inside the vehicle. If you have a mobile device or tablet, you can quickly and easily share it with everyone in the Friend-ME, and the media will show up on the display, or in the case of music, pump through the stereo. Everyone has the ability to control it, which is going to make driving that much sweeter.
At Jackie Cooper Nissan, we could see this technology applied to other vehicles in our high-quality lineup of Nissans down the road, but for now, we wait. Still, it shouldn't deter your from stopping in to our showroom serving those in Tulsa, Oklahoma to check out a fun-to-drive and tech-savvy new vehicle. We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have, and if one model strikes your fancy, we can set up a test drive.
